The Crocus Project … what’s that?! This Project for young people aged 11 years and over is to remember ALL the children who died in the Holocaust. Our EkoSkola students, like thousands of other young people all over the World, on Friday 15th November planted flower bulbs in memory of the 1.5 million Jewish children who died in the Holocaust and thousands of other children who were victims of Nazi atrocities. The yellow flowers recall the yellow Stars of David that Jews were forced to wear under Nazi rule. The Crocus flowers bloom around the end of January, about the time of International Holocaust Memorial Day (27 January). Well done!
