A selected number of students attended the ‘Take Part Save Smart Programme’ at the Home Economics Seminar Centre in B’Kara. The aim of this programme is to help students to gain knowledge and understanding of the concepts related to personal finance.
Through an active methodology the learners are, amongst other things, offered opportunities to learn to differentiate between authentic specimen money and counterfeit money and to practice budgeting skills. Students are encouraged to apply their newly gained knowledge when handling financial resources and to be a positive influence within their immediate family and amongst their peers.
