Education Minister Mr Evarist Bartolo officially opened the newly-refurbished Maria Regina Hall on the 12th September during a celebration in honour of all the staff who worked on the project.
School, College and Directorate staff under the supervision of Mr Anton Sciberras, the College Precincts Officer, and Mr Schembri, the acting head of school, have produced a significant transformation of parts of the school. This included the complete replacement of the electrical system in Block A, new bathrooms in Block E, painting of classrooms and corridors and the complete refurbishment of the school’s concert hall.
Mr. James Camilleri, College Principal, and Minister Bartolo addressed the guests present. A wonderful cultural programme ensued with performances by Ventil Horns and Kor l-Għanja tal-Poplu. The programme was organised by Mr. Schembri and Ms. Ebejer Grech.
