On May 10th, 2019, a selection of Year 7 and 8 students were given the opportunity to visit the Malta Robotic Olympiad 2019 Expo held at the Malta Conventions Centre in Ta’ Qali. The students, who have an affinity for computers and technology, were able to witness and experience the latest technological gadgets, from 3D printers and virtual reality glasses to WiFi enabled washing machines, at first hand. They also saw a sumo battle tournament with a lot of schools participating.
Afterwards, they went to see all the amazing inventions and technology games. The students’ favourite part was two cars being controlled by two tablets going head to head against each other. There were also VR games and they were able to play Minecraft, their favourite game, in VR. It was a very interesting outing and the participants declared they would definitely go there again. Thanks go to Mr Laus and Ms Spiteri for organizing such an awesome outing.
