On the 28th of October 2014 , a visit was organised by our guidance teachers. A group of Form 5 students visited the University of Malta in order to help them acquire more knowledge about the selection of their future subjects which could be taken at post-secondary education. Firstly, the students had a talk from an university representative, in which he explained which subjects the students should select in order to get the Matriculation certificate; which is the key to enter the University of Malta. Afterwards, the students were divided into five groups, where each group went in a different faculty, in which the students were toured around and given out talks about various courses offered from that particular faculty. The students visited the following faculties: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Business and Commerce, the Faculty of History, and the Faculty of Art.
The following students visited the Faculty of Pharmacy and they had the opportunity to check the glucose level in the blood and checking the blood pressure manually and in a digital mode.
Surely, this was a worthwhile visit for all students as they were given a broad picture of what the University of Malta offers to our students.
