A big welcome to all students on your return to school today. Morning assembly prayer was dedicated to the fellow students in Gaza and other countries where political turmoil means that students cannot fully benefit from a stable educational environment.
No school is a school without students and you are the heart and soul of our school. We sincerely hope that you will be able to do your utmost to develop your skills. Judging by some examination results I am not convinced that each student has given her best and this causes us to rethink whether these students benefit from being promoted to the next year.
I augur that each student would be able to appreciate the efforts of all the workers who during the summer holidays toiled to make the environment a much better one to learn in. Thanks to each and every one of these workers and to the generous investment of the education authorities, we are able to reap the benefits of this investment.
Today also marks a new milestone for our school – the start of the co-ed system. This has been a very smooth transition and male and female students are interacting normally without any difficulties whatsoever. This is certainly a step in the right direction which will have a positive effect.
Wishing all students the very best for a fruitful scholastic year.
