During this scholastic year, we kept working on our gardens throughout the cross-curricular project with Dinja Wahda. This year we focused mainly on the Wildlife Garden. During the break clubs, held once weekly, we cleaned the garden and prepared the initial part of the passage so that eventually we can add gravel to it (during the coming projects).
During the English and Maltese lessons, we held lessons outdoors discussing environmental issues but also relating what they are seeing and feeling to literature pieces included in our learning outcomes. Moreover, we planted also around 10 Tree Medick to serve as a hedge for the Wildlife Garden once they grow. The students enjoyed spending time outdoors and involving themselves in such tasks.
