On Monday 7th November, a group of students who are currently carrying out a Maintenance Programme in the Learning Support Zone, paid a very interesting visit to the Archaeology Museum in Valletta. The outing was organized in collaboration with Heritage Malta, and it will be followed with other outings of this sort. Following a briefing about the Museum and a short tour in which the students gained a good insight into prehistoric life in Malta, the group carried out a workshop in which they practiced the two most common techniques used in prehistory involved in the production of pottery.
The students produced their own piece of pottery with a feeling of significance and pride. Moreover, they demonstrated the ability to work together towards a common goal whilst practicing important life skills like turn taking, communication and sharing.
