October is well known for Animal Awareness activities and our school organises each year something special for this occasion. This year we had a couple of special guests coming to our school. We had Macy, a Maltese Terrier, coming over together with Candace Vella Bencini, an Education Officer at Dogs’ Trust Malta. Then we had Jade, a Labrador, and Isis, a Border Collie, coming over with Andrew and Fiona from Borg Cardona. Other attractions were a snake, a hamster, a rabbit and a budgie! Our students had the opportunity to touch these animals apart from learning about how to take care of these animals.
